« Hariri Commissioned Me to Make the Two Statues »

He states that « the late President Rafic Hariri » had commissioned him to make both statues, and affirms his loyalty to President Karamé. The statue of Rachid Karamé, 3.60 metres tall and made of 3,200 kilograms of bronze, was completed and installed on the road that bears his name; that of Béchara El-Khoury remains, four years after the commission, stored in the artist's studio, for lack of an official decision on its location. A separate box-out, titled « Is the Governor Responsible? », questions the administrative deadlock over the matter.
