Gazes before the sculptor's monument

Long interview, conducted by an interviewer who is herself a visual artist, in which Berberi is asked about the links between Lebanese and French sculpture, the history of Lebanon and a coastal monument project. Asked what the year 1944, that of his birth and of Lebanese independence, represents for him, the artist says he has always sought, through art, to « return to life ». He speaks of his admiration for Lebanese architectural heritage and of the need to preserve a national memory through monuments accessible to all.
